I bought a few ounces of both brown mustard and broccoli seeds at the health food store and sprinkled them in plastic tubs on damp paper towels. I covered them and put them on warm top of the refrigerator overnight to sprout, then moved them to the windowsill to get light and green up. Viola! In one week, yummy sprouts in our sandwiches and in my morning omelet.
January Harvest total:
4 oz. of sprouts (grocery value 6.26/lb) = $1.59
