Illustration Friday - "Cake"

Finally, here is my entry for this week's Illustration Friday topic, "Cake." Since my entry for "Angels and Devils" was a drawing of cakes, I decided to think up something different. What kind of wedding cake would a mouse have? Cheese-cake, of course!! I set up the illustration like it was the last page of a children's book, but it's not really. I got the name "Tucker" from the book, The Cricket in Times Square, which I recently finished reading to my boys. Click on the picture to see it larger! Micron pen, Prismacolor markers and colored pencils.

Very sweet illo and great idea! I thought about cheesecake but couldn't think of a good way to represent it - wish I had thought of this! Welcome to IF and look forward to seeing more of your work.

Really adorable idea and illustration! I love all the little details in the leaves and their outfits. This could easily be a page in a childrens book.
