Turning Japanese, I Really Think So!

Hurrah! I can finally reveal my projects of the week! Happy Birthday to my sister-in-law, E.P., the new owner of my Sushi-Lover's Purse! This woman has been suffering serious obsession and I have enjoyed the fishy fruits of it - lots of homemade sushi rolls! She deserves a purse to advertise her love! Thanks to Blair at wise craft for the inspiration of her lovely sold-out purses, and creativelittledaisy for the tutorial. Aren't bloggers great? I personalized it by using handles from Joann's Fabric and made a little sushi charm with scraps, embroidery floss and tiny orange "roe" beads!

Secondly, is my coordinating softie kitty, Mutsuko! She is inspired by Claudine's dear Maggie. She is wearing a sushi-print apron, and she is quite handy behind the sushi-bar herself! She, too, is meant for someone soon.

That is a perfect sushi-lover's purse - right down to the sushi charm and wooden button for the closure! I'd almost guess you were Japanese! :o)
