Illustration Friday: Match

Matching Fantasy

Unmatching Reality

In real reality, they are all white boys' and men's athletic socks, size 5, 7, and 9. But all white socks wouldn't be fun to look at. And are too frustrating to try and match!
Drawn with Illustrator. Which I am teaching myself. Slowly. Painfully.

I love your commentary on this. Hey, good for you ~ keep plugging along with Illustrator. You'll be so happy you did. I still haven't quite mastered all there is to master in the program. What version are you using?

Good for you! Nice job! Illustrator is very powerful and intuitive, once you wrap your head around it.

I laughed when I read your commentary - my daughter prides herself in her mismatched socks which she just grabs from her drawer or the clean laundry pile - in fact now 1/2 the girls in her class wear different coloured socks. I tease her that if it were truly random, one day she will pick matching socks - to which she replies that it would be an omen for her to stay home from school that day ;o)

This is perfect, because it's so true! I'm very happy that my BF usually wears just one kind of sock in basic white, so I just make a big pile of them and he picks them off the pile to wear. I guess it's easy when there's only one size:>
