Illustration Friday - "Citrus"

Lemons are one of my favorite things - in fact I've been on a bit of a lemony kick lately! I have taken to putting a slice of lemon in each of our glasses of ice water with dinner. Lemon coconut muffins are one of my best recipes! I have a lemon theme in my kitchen decor. So, while I could have used one of my previous drawings for this week's IF theme, "Citrus," in honor of my recent obsession, I painted its portrait.

I love the transucency of the sliced lemon! Beautiful painting.

Try adding a slice of cucumber with the slice of lemon in the water. Looks beautiful and is twice as refershing.

Wow, it seems I haven't stopped by in forever!! Wonderful lemon painting. I just love painting those little squares! And Gipper is too cute for words. Sammy is soulful. My dog has seizures too. Her name is Emma, so we lovingly say she has "Emma-lepsy!" What would we do without them? I've had fun visiting again :)

Wow, the texture of the sliced lemon is just wonderful! You really caught the juicy, glistening appearance: so much so that I can almost smell it.
