A wonderful Friday was spent in beautiful Sequim (pronounced "squim"), Washington. The actual Lavender Festival was last weekend, but we decided that avoiding the crowds was preferable. There are many small lavender farms to visit in the area but we only made it to two again this year - strolling and taking pictures and sniffing and taking pictures and shopping and taking pictures...

My favorite farm is still Purple Haze. The whole place is a delight to the senses. Not only the 
lavender fields, but the barn-like shop, the orchard, and the oh-I-wish-I-could-live-there farmhouse behind the fields.

The ferry ride and drive there are lovely too. Everytime we go we want to go again soon.
