Illustration Friday - "Angels & Devils"

This is my first attempt at participating in Illustration Friday! I have recently begun drawing regularly again, and have been so inspired by the artists at I.F. (especially Paula Becker, Julie Durocher and Holli Conger)! I'd appreciate any feedback! I used a Sakura black pen, Prismacolor art markers and pencils, and I'm drawing in a bound sketchbook. I only learned how to use a scanner today, so my cropping and quality need help, I know!

Cleaver idea. Not bad to not be sketching for a while :) Don't know if you have any interest in an illustration career, but your style looks appropriate for the educational market. Can't wait to see others!

I really like your first IF illustration. Welcome! I've been here since this past New Years Day, and havent' missed a week yet. You said Washington...I assume you mean "state". I'm from Puyallup. There are quite a few IFers from this area. Are you somewhere is Western Washington?

Welcome to IF! I like your style and this is cute and funny to boot! Your cakes look scrumptious ~ no wonder she's having a taste test!

Thanks, Penelope! I get it! I'll do that next time!

Thanks, Holli, Ellen, Bron and Joy! I have been working on ideas for a graduation cake, so I have cake on the brain! And I live on the west side of WA, north of Seattle.

I think this is adorable! i like your style. To answer your question, I create some of my artwork with pen & ink then colorize it in Photoshop. The "sorry" character was done digitally in Illustrator. Good luck, I'll keep watching for your entries.
